In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations to STEP help offset program expenses as well as alleviate the cost of some critical needs for our families. When we can help provide a basic necessity, families can redirect those funds to debt reduction and savings, helping them stay on the path to financial self-sufficiency.  Our Warehouse on Wheels program allows families access to new and gently used donated household items they have been going without. While needs vary throughout the year, below is a list of on-going items needed annually:

Hand Sanitation

NEW HYGIENE ITEMS

SoapHandSoap, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, 

Shampoo/ConditioneR, Deodorant, Lotion

Sleeping Baby

NEW DIAPERS/WIPES

Sizes 4 through 6 most needed 

Baby Car Seats

NEW CRIBS/CAR SEAT

Due to federal law, they must be new

Clothes Donation

NEW/GENTLY USED ITEMS

  • Kitchenware: Pots, pans, silverware, bowl and plate sets, cooking utensils, etc. 

  • Bedroom basics: new comforters, blankets, pillows, bed linens, etc. 

  • Bath basics: new towels, shower curtains, etc.

  • Baby and children's clothing and shoes

PLEASE NOTE

*To uplift and retain the dignity of our military families, please donate pristine, gently-used items.

 

We only accept items that are small and light enough for one person to easily carry.

STEP IS UNABLE TO ACCEPT

  • Household waste (paint, solvents, ink cartridges, cleaning supplies, perfume, cosmetics, lotions)

  • Large, bulky furniture unless matched with a client (couches, wardrobes, bed frames, etc.) - Please email info@temstepusa.org to arrange

  • Large appliances

  • Used electronics, cords, chargers, box tv screens, and other electronic accessories

  • Construction materials, scrap metal, and used batteries

  • Used baby bibs, cribs, and car seats

  • Used mattresses
